All Knit Long!

It was yesterday that our third All Knit Long meeting took place, an informal meeting where people from all ages, nationalities and experience come together to knit! Don't worry if you don't know how, there is always someone available to teach you! :)
Every month CCPL organizes these meetings, usually on a cafe, but since the wather is so nice, we decided to organize on the beautiful Place de Clairefontaine.
We are also, now, knitting for a cause! The group will choose an institution and knit all the goods for them. Please look forward to see these works of love and hard-work!

Here are the photos from yesterday:

Spreading love, wherever we go!

"The idea is to "drop" a smile in the most unexpected places... To leave a heart out there for someone to find and take it along. Warm the soul of a stranger.

. . . just because!"...
...It's what is written on Pinga Amor Por Aí blog, an idea that we welcomed with open hearts and with motivation to spread these little hearts all over Luxembourg and wherever our journeys take us (we already left two hearts in Cinque Terre, Italy, our last trip).
So feel confortable to visit this blog and, who knows, maybe you will find a bit of love spreaded on luxembourgish lands :)

Cinque Terre, Italy

From 5th July to 8th July, we went to Italy, to the region known as Cinque Terre! We stayed in Riomaggiore, the first of the Cinque Terre (Five Towns) and everything was wonderful, from the beautiful little towns withe rainbow colours, to the crystal clear water of its shores. The only thing we didn't like were the jellyfish, ouch!
Also, as it is world-known, the food was amazing, and the italian hospitality are definitly two more factors to go back again to this paradise! We sure reccomend it!

On the way :)

The group was mainly consisted of music students, so we took them to visit the Music Conservatoire. Catarina also interviewed them for CCPL's Radio show "Diálogo".
At the end of the Mobility the held a concert in the Ettelbruck's Parents Association, a partner of CCPL.

Inauguration of the exposition "De Terre et de Feu - l'art de l'azulejo revisité"

On the 7th of June we helped organizing an exposition of azulejo, the typical portuguese ceramics, but in this case, with a twist.
The exposition is called "The Terre et de Feu - l'art de l'azulejo revisité", and its art is by Teresa Ribeiro and Margarida Girão.
Their beautiful work demonstrate the amount of work and detail they put in the pieces.
Here are some photos of the inauguration:

Disneyland Paris!

So me and Catarina went on vacation again, this time to beautiful (and sunny!) Paris!
For the first day, we went to Disneyland, a dream for both of us. Just being so close to Sleeping Beauty's Castle that we so often see everywhere, really felt like a dream.

We went everywhere we could, and ride every ride available. It was really sunny and warm, so it felt even better! At the end of the day, we watched the Disney Parade, in which we could see the Disney characters live!

Here is Ariel and her prince!
On the second day, we went to Disney Studios, another park where you can see the wonders of film making and behind the scenes. I t was really something else!
We started the day by riding the Rock and Roller Coaster, a looping ride with Aerosmith's music. Really amazing!
This was the day that we could finally take a picture wtih Mickey, scine we were tryign to do so sicne the previous day.

Here we are with Mickey!
The last day was to visit Paris, adn though tiring, it was really fun and amazing. Paris is indeed a beautiful city!.
We visited the Eiffel Tower, Concorde, the Louvre and Notre Dame! It also felt like a dream, being so close to these monuments!

With the Eiffel Tower!
It was really a wonderful experience, and I do hope to go back to Paris. J'adore Paris!
